But I can play RS2 during hours without getting bored (it also has downsides, like being stuck with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ team in campaign and losing every match as if other team where doing blitzkrieg, which ends up being not fun at all). I play both of them, both are sufficiently different (style, atmosphere and gameplay wise) to be both owned. While in RS2 you can die and die again while still having fun because you the games make you feel like in Apocalypse Now trying to survive in a huge battle. That is, Sandstorm is less forgiving (but obviously you will improved) and when having a bad game, you will really have a bad game. Or you will have to wait 30/40 seconds to respawn and repeat the cycle. Team does not take an objective, end of the game. I consider Sandstorm to be a lot more frustrating by design: contrary to last Insurgency, maps are more open and spawns farther away from objective, and the time to respawn is generally about 30 seconds (and in some modes, you will only respawn if your team takes an objective): quite often you will find yourself spawning, running carefully a few minutes to an objective, die from a sniper, and. I generally like RS2 better for its gameplay and its atmosphere, while both games are quite different as I said in the first paragraph. Red Orchestra Series take on Vietnam: 64-player MP matches 20+ maps US Army & Marines, PAVN/NVA, NLF/VC Australians and ARVN forces 50+ weapons. Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is the sequel to PC Gamer’s 2011 & 2013 ‘Multiplayer Game of the Year’, published by Tripwire Interactive and developed by Antimatter Games, the same team that created the award-winning and innovative asymmetric gameplay of the original Rising Storm. ![]() RS2 were released almost 2 tears ago, has a stable community, devs are really actives and are improving and updating day after day the game, so I don’t thing it will die any time soon. Good practise in my opinion, and its a cool new. The game is primarily a strategy game, but the player can take control of his or her forces and direct them with the keyboard and mouse for additional depth of control. Rising Storm 2: Vietnam was recommended to me recently, and its got a lot of features in it that Battlefield V will adopt. However, Sandstorm is still in beta, and is still suffering from inestable optimisation, lack of maps, lack of players in competitive modes. The player can take control of American, British, Russian, or German forces to play out battles that are set in World War II. Ambience is very good too, and graphics are better. ![]() Insurgency for a more skirmish perspective of a conflict: it’s in a way more fast paced, less players etc. To make it short: RS2 for the impression of being involved in battles where you are just a “meat” sent to die, with a lot of explosions, PTSD guaranteed. The maps are detailed and realistic drawing on real-life battles such as the fall of Saigon or the battle of Khe Sanh.I have both, and also have last Insurgency. The result is that matches although balanced are very different depending on what side you're on. Rising Storm 2: Vietnam Red Orchestra Series' take on Vietnam: 64-player MP matches 20+ maps US Army & Marines, PAVN/NVA, NLF/VC Australians and ARVN forces 50+ weapons 4 flyable helicopters mines, traps and tunnels Brutal. The Americans have an advantage in vehicles and heavy weapons forcing their enemies to focus on anti-tank weapons and mobility. War never stops changingīattlefield: Vietnam follows the formula laid down by its predecessor but with an interesting change: conflict between the US and North Vietnamese forces is asymmetrical. The soundtrack of 1960s rock brings the era to life although you may be too busy dodging traps and explosions to really appreciate the music. It features realistic recreations of the battlefields weapons and vehicles of the Vietnam war allowing players to use a variety of different iconic weapons drive tanks fly planes and helicopters and even race into battle on a Vespa scooter. Rising Storm 2 just looks like a reskin with a few additions here and there. ![]() Softonic review Run through the jungle in Battlefield: Vietnamīattlefield: Vietnam is the second installment in the Battlefield series of historical first-person shooters. Like many of you, I also spent a lot of money on this game hoping for hardcore mode.
